In communities across India, girls like Priya often have to skip school to spend hours fetching water from distant, unsafe sources. Meanwhile, their mothers struggle with waterborne illnesses that drain the family's resources. This creates a devastating cycle that keeps women and girls trapped in poverty. But it doesn't have to be this way. At DFN, our integrated approach tackles this problem from every angle. We build community water wells, provide health education, and empower women with the skills to advocate for their own needs. With clean water, girls can stay in school and grow into confident, powerful leaders. Mothers can focus on earning an income instead of tending to sick family members. Entire communities thrive.
